Make the familiar unfamiliar.
Mountain Hardwear invited an experimental approach. The response was an infrared concept that recasts familiar climbing terrain in unexpected colors. Trees, rock, clothing and sky take on new relationships, while ropes, movement and exposure keep the photographs anchored in the sport.
A photographic treatment with energy.
Fisheye lenses exaggerate the space around the climber. Strobes add contrast and a distinct pulse of light. Across action, portraiture and the surrounding landscape, those choices create a campaign with a visual identity that is immediately different from a conventional outdoor shoot.
