A moment the production could not repeat.

The total solar eclipse set the schedule. Drawing on his experience photographing totality, Ted worked with the production as a stills photographer and eclipse consultant. The resulting photograph of the actors silhouetted against the eclipsed sun became an image for the film’s poster.

On both sides of the camera.

Alongside his photographic work, Ted participated as on-screen talent. The selection here includes the eclipse image and portraits of the camera team, photographs credited to him in ARRI’s production story. The video below offers a look behind the scenes of the Chile shoot; it is not the unreleased feature.
