Follow the river.
The assignment led deep into a fjord on British Columbia’s coast, where grizzly bears gathered to hunt salmon. The photographs give the animals room within their surroundings: river, forest, weather and the scale of the landscape that sustains them.
The journey belongs in the story.
The collection moves between bear encounters and the experience of getting there. People in the landscape, boats, water and mountain views sit alongside wildlife photographs, building a destination story around the whole journey rather than a single sighting.
